The fifth edition of Tyrexpo India and the inaugural GarageXpo India 2017 opened its doors yesterday at Chennai Trade Centre in India. The three-day exhibition opened with a lamp-lighting ceremony officiated by key officials.
Welcoming regional industry players to congregate at India’s leading platform for tires, automotive repair and tire accessories, Baldeep Singh, India head for SingEx Exhibitions (India), spoke at the opening ceremony about the Indian automotive tire market forecast and trends, as well as the daily event highlights that attendees can look forward to.
Day 1 of the show also witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between SingEx Exhibitions and China United Rubber Corp. (CURC), to officiate the co-location of RubberTech, a leading international exhibition on rubber technology in China, with Tyrexpo 2018 in both India and Africa. Through this partnership, closer relationships among the tire, rubber and automotive communities on a regional level aim to be fostered.
Satish Sharma, chairman of Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA), also delivered a keynote session at the TyreTalk Seminar area, and Kaushik Madhawan, director – mobility practice from Frost & Sullivan gave a session on radialization in CVs in India and how this trend affecting fleet operators.
